HICKORY – Catawba Valley Community College has made changes to its weekend baseball schedule against Walters State.
The Red Hawks (3-0 through Tuesday) will play a doubleheader against the Senators on Sunday at Henkel-Alley Field at the American Legion Fairgrounds in Newton, starting a nine-inning game at 1 p.m. Game 2 will follow and will be a seven-inning game.
The doubleheader was originally set for Saturday but CVCC officials said they decided to move the games to Sunday because of forecasts for inclement weather.
