The Catawba Valley 2A Athletic announced Tuesday it will seed its conference basketball tournaments based on winning percentage in league games.

The league does not expect to complete the regular season by the Saturday deadline as it will be unable to have a date to complete the Bunker Hill at West Lincoln games scheduled Jan. 28 and postponed.

Tournament officials will meet Monday night to seed the tournament brackets.

The first games are Tuesday night at the higher seeds with a 7 p.m. tipoff if one game to be played at a site and 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. tips if two games are scheduled at a site.

The semifinals and finals follow the next two nights at Catawba Valley Community College with games at 6 p.m. (girls) and 7:30 p.m. (boys).

The tournament championships are at CVCC on Feb. 18.

Admission at higher seeded first-round games is $7; admission at games at CVCC is $8.

CVCC requires a mask be worn for events on its campus (players will not have to wear them).
