The Catawba Valley 2A Athletic announced Monday where it will play the conference tournaments in baseball and softball.
The baseball tournament will be played at Henkel-Alley Field at the American Legion Fairgrounds in Newton, home field for Catawba Valley Community College and Hickory Post 48’s Legion team.
The softball tournament, for the first time, will be played at the softball complex at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Tournament dates are May 2 through May 6.
Both tournaments will play first-round games at higher seeds: No. 8 at No. 1, No. 5 at No. 4, No. 7 at No. 2 and No. 6 at No. 3.
The softball championship game is on a Thursday and the baseball championship is on a Friday.
