MAIDEN – Gastonia Post 23 kept Maiden Post 240 winless in American Legion baseball on Friday night, winning 11-2 at Maiden High.

Post 240 goes to Independence High for a 7 p.m. game on Saturday against Mint Hill and plays Union County Post 535 at Maiden High on Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Gaston Braves led the East Division at 8-3 going into Friday’s schedule and Gastonia was in second place at 6-4.
