ICARD – Draughn High defeated host East Burke 4-0 on Thursday night in South Mountain Athletic 2A-3A baseball, reaching 10 wins for the first time since the 2014 season.
The Wildcats ran their win streak to four games and they’re in fourth place in the conference – a half-game behind Crest – heading into the Easter holidays.
Both of the Burke County rivals are entered in the Causby Classic, which begins on Monday at Patton.
Draughn faces West Caldwell in the opening round on Monday, while East Burke opens against Patton.
