Zach Jarrett went 0-for-2 and walked twice on Tuesday night, batting ninth for Norfolk (Va.) in a 4-1 victory over the visiting Durham Bulls.
Jarrett played right field for the Tides (14-20), who are in fifth place in the Triple-A East South Division.
Norfolk is nine games behind first-place Durham.
Jarrett’s batting average dropped below .300 at .295 heading into Wednesday night’s home game against Durham.
Jarrett and the Tides will play a six-game series in Charlotte, beginning on June 29 and continuing through July 4.
