MEN’S COLLEGE LACROSSE: Lenoir-Rhyne’s Buduo wins league award for second time

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Joe Buduo of Lenoir-Rhyne University has won the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of The Week for the second time this season.

Buduo, a junior attacker from Shrewsbury, Mass., was named this week’s winner on Monday via a press release from conference officials.

He had a school record for goals in a match with eight last Wednesday when the Bears beat Queens 24-8 in Hickory, and he added two assists in that match.

Buduo also added an assist in a 17-4 triumph over Newberry, S.C., last Saturday. He had 11 points and four ground balls last week and is leading the league in goals (42) and is second in points with 56.

The Bears (10-1), ranked No. 3 in NCAA Division II, have won six straight matches.
