WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The latest update on former Bandys High star Hunter Harvey is he has resumed throwing.

Harvey, a hard-throwing right-hander, is at the Washington Nationals’ extended spring training facility in West Palm Beach (Fla.), Byron Kerr of MLB.com reports.

Harvey was placed on the 10-day disabled list on April 21 with a right pronator strain. He now is working his way back from a tricep strain in his throwing arm.

The MLB.com report said Harvey has thrown up to 20 pitches in his bullpen sessions. That is expected to increase but it’s not known when Harvey might get back to the Nationals bullpen.

An earlier report by Rotowire said Harvey was to return this week for a series with Colorado but he did not.

Washington beat Colorado 6-5 on Sunday, improving to 18-31. The Nats are in fifth place in the National league East and start a 10-game trip Monday at the Mets.

After three games in New York, the Nats play for at Cincinnati and then three at the Florida Marlins.

Washington’s next home series starts June 10 against Milwaukee.
