Hickory High’s Anna McDonald has been picked as the Northwestern 3A-4A’s Player of the Year in girls’ golf.
The all-conference team is led by four picks from McDowell, the conference champion, and four from Alexander Central, which finished in fourth place.
Freedom’s Rob Scott was named Coach of the Year after the Patriots finished second in the league.
McDowell won with 818 strokes and Freedom was next at 855. Hickory finished third (945), followed by Alexander Central (990), South Caldwell (1.012) and Watauga (1.076).
