LENOIR – Hibriten High has announced tickets for Friday’s third-round state 2AA playoff football game against Bandys can be purchased in advance at the school.
No. 3 BANDYS (12-1)
at No. 2 HIBRITEN (13-0),
Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $8 and available in the office at Hibriten from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. on Thursday and Friday, as long lines are expected for tickets at the game.
Third-seeded Bandys (12-1) and second-seeded Hibriten (13-0) kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Friday’s winner reaches the West 2AA final against No. 8 North Lincoln (10-3) or No. 4 Shelby (10-3) and will have a home game.
Other athletic events
Hibriten has postponed its home basketball games on Tuesday night against North Lincoln, moving them to Jan. 9.
The Panthers’ basketball games against South Caldwell, scheduled Friday, have been moved to Feb. 13.
If Hibriten wins the playoff football game, the Panthers will face Burns in basketball on Monday but there will be no varsity boys’ game.
