BANDYS AT MAIDEN GIRLS
Since winning 26 or more games in six consecutive seasons (26, 27, 28, 27, 31, 26), the Bandys girls won 27 games in the two seasons that followed, 2015-16 and 2016-17.
Bandys has not won 23 consecutive games at Maiden. Maiden defeated Bandys in the first round of last year’s Southern District 7 Athletic 2A tournament at Maiden. Bandys’ win streak at Maiden prior to that was nine games.
- Maiden has won back-to-back games over Bandys, beating the Trojans at Bandys and also beating them in the first round of the conference tournament at Maiden last season.
- Maiden, 21-8 last season, did not reach the third round of the state playoffs for the first time. The Blue Devils’ 2002-03 team lost to Thomasville in a sectional final via a first-round bye, second-round victory and the game against Thomasville was in the third round.
