HICKORY – The Hickory Crawdads are back home starting Monday night, and they are in last place in the South Atlantic League’s Northern Division.

The Crawdads’ series finale at Kannapolis on Sunday was rained out and reset as part of a May 19 doubleheader at Kannapolis.

Kannapolis defeated the Crawdads 10-9 on Saturday night, leaving Hickory 6-11 and 5 ½ games back of Northern Division leader Hagerstown (Md.).

A seven-game homestand begins on Monday night against Rome (Ga.). The Braves arrive at 11-6 and they’re atop the SAL Southern Division standings by one game over Greenville (S.C.).

Hickory plays four games against Columbia, S.C later in the week. The Mets SAL team includes Tim Tebow, who is trying baseball after a stint in the NFL.
