HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS SCHEDULE
COACHES: REPORT SCORES
HobbsDailyReport.com encourages head coaches or their representatives to report results from each event, by e-mail, to chobbs001@att.net as soon as possible after the event is complete.
We will publish all scores we receive from Catawba Valley Athletic 2A, Western Foothills 3A, Northwestern 3A-4A schools plus Draughn and Patton and will start varsity basketball standings after a few games have been played.
We work on a score list and roundup for the website every night until at least midnight.
To assure your team’s results being available each night/early morning on HobbsDailyReport.com, e-mail us this information (always be sure to include first and last names for every player mentioned) and include the name of the person reporting the information so they can be credited for their work):
WRESTLING: Same as every year, include final team score and the score at each weight class in each match, i.e. 103: First name, last name (school) d. First name, last name (school) with a score of the elapsed time until a pin. Also include team records.
BASKETBALL: Traditional box score will include number of points by quarter for the visiting team and the home team, plus all individual scoring that add up to the team’s points scored. Those players who score 10 or more points should be listed with first and last names… players with fewer than 10 should be listed by last name and each player who gets into the game should be listed by last name even if they do not score (if players have the same last name, include their first initial). Also include leaders and notes, key facts or key buckets and other highlights as needed. Include each team’s overall and conference record.
A schedule of high school varsity events this week for schools in the Catawba Valley 2A Athletic, Western Foothills 3A and Northwestern 3A-4A plus Draughn and Patton.
Game times are included, if available, and are subject to change. Junior varsity basketball games generally start by 4:30 p.m. and the varsity girls play at approximately 6 p.m., followed by the varsity boys.
If game times are changed or home and away playing dates are traded or postponement makeup dates are not reported to HobbsDailyReport.com, they may not be included.
Any changes made will be updated when that information is received from a school(s)

Each school will set its own COVID-related policies at its sports events. If fans need more specifics about that, it is recommended to contact the host school in advance (having a mask available if probably a good idea):
