JARRETT
Zach Jarrett had a difficult night at the plate on Saturday night, going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts and leaving four baserunners stranded in a Triple-A baseball loss.
Host Gwinnett (Ga.) edged Jarrett and visiting Norfolk (Va.) 5-2 with Jarrett batting sixth in the Tides batting order.
His batting average is .246 as Norfolk goes into the final game of the series on Sunday.

The Tides are 25-42 and in seventh place in the Triple-A East Southeast Division, 22 games back of division-leading Durham.
Norfolk will be off on Monday before going home to start a six-game series against Durham on Tuesday night.
Jarrett has been in Triple-A since a promotion from Double-A Bowie (Md.) on May 19, and he has twice been assigned to the Baltimore Orioles during his career (March 2019 and February 2020).
Jarrett was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 2017 and taken in the 28th round.
The Tides will return to Charlotte for a six-game series from Aug. 17-22.
