Zach Jarrett returned to the lineup on Saturday for the Bowie (Md.) Baysox, batting eighth in the lineup and going 1-for-3 in a road loss to Altoona (Pa.).
Altoona topped the Baysox 8-4, dropping Bowie to 3-2 as the teams head into a game Sunday at 2 p.m.
After having Monday off, Bowie goes home to begin a first-homestand series with Reading (Pa.) on Tuesday night.
Jarrett, a prep star at Hickory High who played college baseball at Charlotte, is hitting .188 this season.
Jarrett, the son of NASCAR champion driver Dale Jarrett, is in his fourth on-field pro season (there were no minor league games in 2020).
