The Tides (24-38) are in sixth place in the Triple-A East Southeast Division, 19 1/2 games back of division-leading Durham.

Jarrett has been in Triple-A since a promotion from Double-A Bowie (Md.) on May 19, and he has twice been assigned to the Baltimore Orioles during his career (March 2019 and February 2020).

Five of the six teams trailing Durham are at least 11 games behind.

Jarrett was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 2017 and taken in the 28th round.

The Tides will return to Charlotte for a six-game series from Aug. 17-22.
