The Southern District 7 Athletic 2A girls’ soccer regular season championship trophy for 2017 is going to join plenty of others at Newton-Conover High.
The Red Devils added another conference title on Wednesday, nipping visiting Maiden 2-1 to finish 12-1-1 and take the trophy.
Elena Propst scored for Maiden, 7-7-0 in the league and in fifth place, and Kassi Kiziah had an assist.
No scoring details were available for the Red Devils.
Bunker Hill 1, West Caldwell 1, tie: The Bears and Warriors ended up tied in an SD-7 2A match at Bunker Hill that went into overtime.
The result left the Warriors 3-9-2 in the conference, and the Bears are 2-9-3.
