HICKORY – The first game of the Hickory Crawdads’ current homestand was rained out on Monday.
Hickory (6-11) will face Rome, Ga. (11-6) on Tuesday in a South Atlantic League (SAL) doubleheader that begins at 5 p.m.
The first 500 fans entering the gates on Tuesday will receive a Crawdads t-shirt.
The club also has a 25th anniversary game designation where a fan could win $25,000 if Hickory scores at least five runs in the fifth inning of a designated anniversary game.
Hickory is at home for seven days, playing Columbia, S.C. after the Braves leave town.
The Crawdads and Braves are scheduled to play the final game of their series at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Columbia, S.C., has former NFL player Tim Tebow on its roster. Through the weekend, he had 12 hits and was batting .218 with two home runs and nine RBIs.
