GREENVILLE, Tenn. – Lenoir-Rhyne University’s losing streak reached seven matches on Friday night when Tusculum defeated the visiting Bears 3-0.
The Pioneers (13-9, 8-4 South Atlantic Conference) won 25-22, 25-2, 25-13 to drop the Bears to 8-9 overall and 4-7 in the conference.
Outside hitter Brooke Redmond led the Bears with eight kills and 14 digs. Setters Jessica Funk and Bailey Cloninger added 17 and 11 assists, respectively.
Cassie Born paced the Pioneers with 16 kills while Shannon Murphy posted a double-double, 46 assists and 10 digs.
LRU has a SAC match on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Catawba.
