HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: Maiden conference win streak corrected

MAIDEN — Additional research indicates Maiden High’s conference win streak in girls’ volleyball — reported as broken at 31 regular season matches by North Lincoln last week – was a streak of 32 straight.

The Blue Devils won their final regular season match in the 2014 SD-7 2A season, went 14-0 in the next two seasons to win conference titles and they won their first three South Fork 2A matches – over Bandys, West Lincoln and Lake Norman Charter – before the loss against North Lincoln.
