PERRY, N.Y. – A trio of Bears will play Friday in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Nike North-South All-Star match in Providence, R.I.

In a press release, LRU officials announced the South roster includes senior goalkeeper Ryan Crompton, senior midfielder Ben Corrigan and senior long stick middle Collin Lett.

Crompton is from Fredrick, Md., Corrigan from Alpharetta, Ga., and Lett is from Greensboro.

CORRIGAN

The match is at 7:30 p.m. on Friday on the campus of Providence College, and it is one of the most storied traditions in college lacrosse, pitting top seniors against each other.

The North-South match kicks off a Memorial Day weekend filed with lacrosse in the New England area as the NCAA men’s semifinals and championship are this weekend in Foxborough, Mass., about 25 miles north of Providence.

Bill Dunn of NYIT will coach the NCAA Division II-I North team and Drew McMinn of Robert Morris is coaching the South team.

LETT

All three LRU players selected were first-team All-South Atlantic Conference (SAC) this season, leading the Bears (17-3, 8-0) to a third straight regular season title and a bid into the NCAA Division II semifinals.

Lett was SAC Player of the Year while Corrigan finished second on the team in goals scored (45) and total points (81) in addition to a team-high 36 assists.  Crompton, a three-year starter, graduated as the team’s all-time leader in saves with 516.
