MAIDEN – Maiden Post 240 plays the first of six straight games over six days when it visits Lincoln County on Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. makeup game.

Maiden (1-0) then faces Hickory Post 48 at Maiden High on Thursday night at 7 p.m., and Union County at Maiden on Friday night at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Post 240 travels to play Shelby at Shelby High at 7 p.m., then goes to Cherryville for a game at 7 p.m. on Sunday at Cherryville.

The sixth game of the run comes Monday at Maiden when Gastonia visits Post 240 for a 7 p.m.

Head coach David Williams’ Salamanaders opened the season last Friday night with a 9-2 victory over Kings Mountain in a game moved to Bandys High by wet weather at the Maiden High field.
