Myra and I wish everyone a Happy New Year as we continue in Chris’ 50th year in sports journalism.
That journey moved to developing HobbsDailyReport.com nearly nine years ago, and Chris plans to stay involved with local sports after “retiring” in June.
Anyone interest in purchasing the website — which has generated nearly 8,000 posts and about 2 1/2 million page views — can contact Chris at chobbs001@att.net.
We’ll also consider in the purchase price rights to keep the website’s name and, possibly would be willing to continue editing and help with content and how the website works.
As always, the challenges include how to generate the content so I would be open to working in my current roles to help a buyer transition to owning a daily sports website.
The goal has always been to try to earn enough advertising so that access is free for readers. I want HobbsDailyReport.com to contribute to exposure for the region’s student-athletes.
Those who have ads on our site, sponsoring content, are doing so because they support the communities and what high school sports provided to them growing up around here.
