East Lincoln High swept the top awards in South Fork 2A volleyball this season after winning a league title for the third time in four seasons.
Senior Kaylee Spees was named the South Fork 2A Player of the Year, conference officials announced. She had 339 digs, 42 blocks, 39 assists, 29 aces and eight kills as the Mustangs went 10-1 to win a league title.
The Mustangs finished 10-2 after being the West No. 4 seed, falling in the opening round to No. 13 Patton.
Conference coaches tabbed East Lincoln’s Stacy Possert as Coach of the Year.
Possert has guided the Mustangs for nine seasons, unofficially going 115-70 (includes 73-16 in the last four seasons).
East Lincoln won a league title in 2017-18 and again the next year. Two years ago, the Mustangs finished second in the South Fork 2A.
In a season shortened by COVID-19, East Lincoln did not get to complete its original 14-match schedule. The South Fork 2A then decided its league champion based on an 11-match schedule.
