GREENSBORO – Alex Kerr of Chapel Hill High sparked the East’s 3-2 victory over the West on Tuesday night in the East-West All-Star girls’ soccer match.

The East increased its lead to 3-1 at the 53:13 mark when Gracie Stoltz (Green Hope) scored on an assist by Hayley Boyles (Heritage).

The West — which matched the East with 12 shots — moved within a goal at the 70:14 mark when Logan Farrelly (Northwest Guilford) scored via a feed from Jess LaFrancis (Hickory).

East Lincoln’s Jason Dragoon was head coach of the West girls, and his roster also included Lauren Hayes of Hickory, Abby Walker of Fred T. Foard and Jenna Land of East Lincoln.

The match, played at McPherson Park, started 40 minutes late due to lightning in the area.
